The world of Kutani ware, with a history of about 360 years
Kutani ware (九谷焼, Kutani-yaki) is characterized by a coloring technique in which lines are drawn in an indigo blue called gosu and painted with a thick layer of five colors of paint (red, yellow, green, purple, and navy blue) called gosai "five colors".
The patterns are boldly painted on top of each other, giving a powerful impression.
Black cats are called "lucky cats" because they are believed to have good eyesight at night and the power to ward off evil and bad spirits.
