Hokusai "Hydrangea and a Swallow"

Hydrangea is a flower that blooms from May to July, and its language is “patient love." In this series, Hokusai not only depicts flowers and birds but also attempts to express wind, air, and even time in nature. In this painting, the hydrangea is precisely rendered, and the swallow is roughly captured, perhaps to express movement. The hydrangea is blurred with light colors, giving the hydrangea a very three-dimensional effect.
